The province of Zambales is now under the state of calamity after being badly hit by heavy rains and severe flooding due to the recent typhoon and southwest monsoon.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, more than six hundred thousand people have been affected by rains and flooding in six provinces in Central and Southern Luzon and National Capital Region.
The NDRRMC stated that Busuanga, Palawan and Olongapo City have been previously declared too after the landslides that took eight lives.
Meanwhile, the agency confirmed that there are already 30 casualties from the latest calamity to struck Luzon, 29 of which came from Zambales.
Six individuals have been confirmed hurt in Zambales while two remain missing.
