Vice President Leni Robredo on Thursday, May 23 said she had never met nor communicated with Peter Joemel Advincula— the man claiming to be  “Bikoy” in a series of anonymous videos “Ang Totoong Narcolist.”

“Hindi ko siya kilala. Never ko siyang nakausap. Never ko siyang naka-text, never nagka-communication between us,” Robredo said.

During her press conference on Thursday, just shortly after Advincula’s, Robredo said that the allegations of Advincula against the involvement of the Liberal Party in the series of videos are ‘unfair.’ She also pointed out the credibility of Advincula after it had a change of tune from his previous claims accusing the family of President Rodrigo Duterte and his former aide, newly elected senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go in the illegal drug trade.

On Thursday, Advincula surrendered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and revealed that the LP together with Senators Antonio Trillanes, Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros plotted the ‘lies’ he mentioned in the series of videos.

“Kung ito ay harassment [o] ginagawang paraan para lalong yurakan at tapakan ang Liberal Party o kaming nasa oposisyon, hindi ito dahilan para magpapatinag tayo,” Robredo said as she addressed her fellow LP members.

Advincula said that Trillanes’ aim to put Robredo in power by ousting Duterte. He also noted that Robredo once ‘passed by’ one of the Otso Diretso meetings at the Ateneo de Manila University but did not attend. However, the vice president said that the last time she was in Ateneo was last December for a Christmas party.

Robredo said the first time she heard of Advincula was during his press conference at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

“Yung accusations na iyon, dahil hindi totoo, handa akong humarap sa kahit anong forum. Handa akong humarap sa kahit anong imbestigasyon. Panatag ang kalooban ko sa katotohanan,” she said.

On the other hand, Senator Francis Pangilinan, who recently stepped down from being LP president, said that Advincula’s claim is all ‘lies.’

“The Liberal Party is again tagged in ouster plots that are made up to cover up the failures and corruption of the administration,” Pangilinan said.

“I will repeat: The LP has nothing to do with the Bikoy video. All these are lies and fabricated,” he added.
