Vice President Leni Robredo has declared that she will not run for President during the 2022 elections.
During a speech in Mandaluyong, Quezon City, Robredo insisted that she had not ambition to become the President or even the Vice President of the Philippines.
Pumasok ako dito for a specific purpose,” Robredo said during the 4th Family Congress on Mental Health ng Alliance of Filipino Families for Mental Health Inc. at Philippine Red Cross headquarters.
According to the Vice President, if she will be given a choice, she would return to being a legal lawyer since she will be judged less by the public, and people will feel grateful for her services.
However, even with the numerous criticisms pointed against her, Robredo believes that she got elected as Vice President for a ‘greater purpose’ to help people.
