Vice President Leni Robredo formally paid a visit to President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacanang on Monday.
The Vice President arrived at the Palace half past three in the afternoon and was personally welcomed by the President.
In line with this, the two leaders of the country held their first-ever ‘formal meeting.’
Robredo and Duterte first met after their separate oath-taking ceremonies, at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Change of Command rites in Camp Aguinaldo last Friday. The photos of the two immediately went viral on social media.
President Duterte in an interview said that he offered the Vice President coconut juice during the said event, but Vice President Leni turned down the said offer.
The President has always been upfront that he will not give Robredo any Cabinet position because he is taking into consideration the feelings of his good friend, Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr.
