Vice President Jejomar Binay will be present during President Benigno Aquino III’s last State of the Nation Address, scheduled on July 27.
In an interview with the media last Thursday, the Vice President said that he’s always been attending the President’s SONA, but insisted that it’s not mandatory to attend the said event.
Binay added that he’s surprised why his attendance to PNOY’s last SONA is becoming an issue to the public.
In the past SONAs of the President, Vice President Binay was in attendance as member of the administration’s Cabinet.
However in June, Binay resigned from his posts in the Aquino Cabinet and has been continuously criticizing the administration since then.
Asked if he will be delivering a counter-SONA, Binay didnt specifically say anything but quipped, “we don’t want to call it a counter-SONA.”
