US extends travel alert

The United States government extended the worldwide travel alert up to the end of August for its citizens after threats of terror attack spread by Al-Qaeda group.

According to the US State department, the closure of agencies in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Libya, Egypt, Djibouti, Qatar, Sudan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Madagascar, Burundi, Rwanda and Mauritius were also extended up to Saturday (Sunday here in Manila).

Though there are no specific dates of the attack, the US embassy in Yemen is on a tight security after the said attacks are centered in Yemen.

Even the United Kingdom, France and Germany were prompted to close their embassies in Yemen.

The extended travel alert aims to secure the safety of Americans who are in different countries in the whole world.
