Tulfo brothers ordered arrested

Erwin Tulfo and Raffy Tulfo

A Quezon City Regional Trial Court ordered the arrests of radio-television journalists and brothers Erwin and Raffy Tulfo for a libel case.

The arrest warrant was served by Judge Eleuterio Bathan on Tuesday morning after it found probable cause on the complaint filed by Senior Police Officer 3 Abubakhar Maglangit against the siblings.

The libel case stemmed from a complaint of Maglangit whom the Tulfo brothers called as a thief during their television program.

He said the Tulfo brothers maligned him in the Nov. 19, 2011, episode of “T3.”

The police officer said Raffy allegedly called him a shameless, thieving policeman who went around pointing his gun to scare off people while his brother Erwin called him a cop who steals water and even had the gall to be angry when caught and censured.

Lawyer Jerelee Balad, Clerk of Court of the QCRTC Branch 92, the Tulfo brothers are set to post bail (P6,000 each) for their temporary freedom.
