Top Rank Chief Executive Officer and President Bob Arum silenced reports regarding an upcoming 2018 bout between Filipino Boxing Idol Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Mixed Martial Arts Star Conor Mcgregor.
The promoter of Pacquaio called the said showdown as a total nonsense, and said that no negotiations are happening between the camps of the two fighters.
Arum further added that Mcgregor is busy spending his gains from his previous boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Pacquiao ignited reports regarding a fight with Mcgregor, after the Filipino boxer posted a picture of the Irish MMA star which included #realboxingmatch and #2018.
It is also reported that the Fighting senator admitted to having initial talks with the mixed martial artists but there have been no ‘follow-ups’.
Meanwhile, Ultimate Fighting Championships president Dana White threatened to sue Pacquiao or his representative if they did have talks with Mcgregor regarding a potential fight.
White insisted that Mcgregor is still in contract with the MMA organization.
