Now it’s between United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) interim president and Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano after the former accused Cayetano of “false advertising” in the wake of the Commission on Audit (COA) reports on alleged ghost employees and overpayments in Taguig City.
Earlier, it was Cayetano who blasted Tiangco for inventing stories regarding the television advertisements of the senator.
Cayetano claimed that Tiangco should take a drug test for he is already hallucinating.
But the UNA official won’t back down, slamming Cayetano and reminded him of his description of President Benigno Aquino III during the 2010 campaign.
“I am glad that Cayetano’s mouthpiece mentioned that the issues we raised on Taguig’s multi-million peso TV ads are a product of hallucination. The senator’s spokesperson brought the issue of head trips, it shows na namana rin nya ang hilig mag-imbento at mag-hallucinate,” Tiangco said.
“Nakalimutan na ba nya na si Cayetano ang nagsabing may topak si PNoy?” he said. “Magkasama si Cayetano at GMA noon pang 2004 at kung anu-ano ang inimbento nilang kwento laban kay FPJ. Now this guy dismisses the issue on funders of the Taguig TV ads a product of hallucination.”
He also criticized Cayetano for “hiding behind his spokespersons” instead of addressing the issue himself.
“For a media-hungry politician, I find it curious and not his style to let people speak for him… He portrays to the people that he is a crusader, but when people start to question some of his acts, he hides behind his aides,” he said.
“Kung wala kang itinatago, ilabas mo. Ikaw (Cayetano) ang nagsimula nito, tapusin mo!” Tiangco added.
