The Armed Forces of the Philippines has assured the public that there are no Terrorism threat this coming All Soul’s Day.
However, AFP Public Affairs Chief LtCol. Harold Cabunoc said that there will be military presence to assist the Philippine National Police for tomorrow’s holiday.
The said move is to make sure of the public’s safety as they visit their departed loved ones in cemeteries.
According to Cabunoc, 85 soldiers together with 17 military officers have been assigned in different parts of the Metro.
Meanwhile, Cabunoc wasn’t able to verify on how many soldiers were deployed in the provinces as it depends on the deployment of each infantry divisions and their area commands.
Aside from soldiers, the AFP has ordered K9 units in checking bags for possible bombs, drugs, guns and other illegal substance that people may want to bring inside the cemeteries.
