Tropical depression “Marilyn” has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday, September 12.
In a weather bulletin issued, TD Marilyn has entered PAR around 9:30 AM and was last seen at 1,645 kilometers east of Central Luzon at 3 a.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and 70 kph gusts. It threatens moderate to heavy rains in the areas of Luzon and Visayas.
Its trough may bring floods and landslides in Visayas, Calabarzon, Bicol, Mimaropa and Zamboanga regions, and Aurora, Quirino, Isabela, and Cagayan provinces.
PAGASA noted that the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience localized thunderstorms.
Marilyn is the 13th storm to enter the country this year.
