Filipino taekwondo jin Allain Ganapin has qualified for the upcoming Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Reports stated that World Taekwondo, the world governing body for the sport, sent a bipartite invitation for Ganapin to join the sports event that will run from August 24 to September 5.
“Not one but we now have TWO taekwondo bets headed to Tokyo as our very own Allain Ganapin secures his slot to the Paralympic Games,” the Philippine Taekwondo Association said in a Facebook post.
Filipino taekwondo jin Kurt Barbosa has also earned a ticket to the upcoming Olympics, the sister event of the Paralympics, which will also happen in Tokyo.
Ganapin joins Filipino swimmer Ernie Gawilan in the Philippine delegation for the Paralympic Games.
