
Malacanang is assuring the more than five thousand families that have been affected by the extreme flooding in Bani, Pangasinan that the government will send them aid.
PCOO Sec. Herminio Coloma Jr. said that the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council is monitoring the situation in the said area.
According to Coloma, the DSWD has sent in relief goods worth 17.8 million pesos to the affected families in Central Luzon, region 4A, and Cordillera Autonomous Region.
Based on the report of DSWD Sec. Dinky Soliman, the affected families are now seeking refuge in 22 evacuation centers.
Also, work teams of the DPWH are gearing up to repair broken infrastructures and the Agricultural Department is preparing the necessary assistance for the famers whose crops have been damaged by the massive flood. (with DZRH Florante Rosales)
