State-owned National Livelihood Development Corp. was used as a passage of the P1 billion pork barrel of five senators and eight members of the House of Representatives and went straight to non-government organizations allegedly handled by P10 pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.
According to pork barrel scam whistle blower Benhur Luy, the illegal transaction happened from 2008 to 2012.
Based on the documents submitted by Luy to the National Bureau of Investigation, the P1 billion pork barrel was entrusted to the NLDF for the lending program of farmers and went to the Land Bank of the Philippines.
It was known that the P273 million came of the P1 billion from the Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) of Senator Jinggoy Estrada; P260 million from Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr.; P176 million from Senator Juan Ponce Enrile as well as the P75 million PDAF of Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and P15 million from Senator Gringo Honasan.
Of the five Senators, the PDAF of eight congressmen went straight to Napoles’ firms. (Rommel Fuertes)
