The Senate will re-open the hearing on the Mamasapano incident this coming January 25
According to Senator Grace Poe, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Order, the re-opening of the investigation on the day the incident happened is the Senate’s way of commemorating the anniversary of the said bloody event.
The lady Senator was convinced to re-open the hearing on the said case in order to listen to possible new information or evidence that will be presented by Senate Minority leader Juan Ponce-Enrile.
The Rule Committee gave the re-opening of the investigation on the Mamasapano incident its go-signal as a reply on comment of Enrile that the veteran Senator was able to acquire new information that needed to be discussed in public hearing of the Senate.
Meanwhile, Poe clarified that the new hearing will not affect nor will it negate the previous findings of the committee, which was already signed by 21 Senators.
