The Senate continued with its investigation on the controversial 81 million-dollar money laundering heist.

According to Senator TG Giungona, chairman of the Blue Ribbon Committee, they will be able to submit their committee report by June 30.

Guingona is confident that their report will be used in strengthening the case that has been filed against those personalities allegedly involved in the said money laundering scandal.

The veteran Senator added that part of the recommendation of the Committee will be the amendment of the anti-money laundering law, wherein the AMLC should cover the operations of casinos.

Some of the personalities that have been charged in relation with the said scandal include former RCBC branch manager Maia De Guito, casino junket operator Kim Wong, and couple Salud and Concon Bautista of PhilRem.
