Filipino fighter Sen. Manny Pacquiao silenced reports that his fight against Argentinian champion Lucas Matthysse will not continue on July 15.

According to reports, the camp of Pacquiao confirmed that ‘everything is being arranged and on schedule’ for the title bout, billed as Fight of Champions, that will happen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It was previously reported that Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum expressed doubt that the Pacquiao-Matthyse fight will go through citing ‘financial targets have been missed on different occasions by those staging the fight’.

Arum also said that, if the bout does not continue, he plans to have talks with Golden Boy Promotions, the promoter of Matthyse, regarding a possible fight between the Argentinian boxer and the undefeated American champion Terrence Crawford.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao continues his training in General Santos City for his attempt to seize the WBA (Regular) Welterweight title from Matthyse.
