Senator Cynthia Villar reprimanded the Bureau of Plant Industry for not noticing the questionable importation of garlic.

According to Villar, the government agency clearly does not act, when there is lack of harvest for the said product.

Villar said, rather than act, the agency ignores the problem in order for the importation of garlic to be reasonable.

The Senator further added that BPI agreeing on the garlic importation is the reason why former Presiden Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino dismissed one of the agency’s officials.

Villar said during an exclusive interview with DZRH.
