SC orders BI to retain custody of Korean national

The Supreme Court has ordered the Bureau of Immigration to retain custody of South Korean national Ja Hoon Ku, who is accused of misusing allotted reserve fund of Phildip Korea Co. Ltd.

A Temporary Restraint Order was issued by the Supreme Court in stopping the enforcement of the two orders issued by the Manila Regional Trial Court last January 28 and 29, 2014.

The MTC orders the Korean national’s transfer to the Police Security and Protection Group of the Philippine National Police.

Prior to the request of the Bureau of Immigration last January 26, the Korean Embassy asked Philippine authorities to deport the suspect back to South Korea.
