SBP assembles e-sports team for upcoming FIBA tourney

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) announced the members of the Philippine team for the first-ever international esports competition that will be organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

Rocky Brana, Philippe Alcaraz IV, Clark Banzon, Al Timajo, Aljon Cruzin, Rial Polog Jr., and Custer Galas will represent the Philippines in the upcoming FIBA Esports Open 2020.

FIBA previously announced that the Philippines is among the 17 countries that will compete in the e-basketball games that will be held from June 19 to June 21.

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cyprus, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, New Zealand, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland and Ukraine will also participate in the tournament.

FIBA said that games will be played remotely on NBA 2K using the Pro-AM mode and allow full customization of player avatars, uniforms and arena designs.
