The Sandiganbayan is finished with garnishing some of former Chief Justice Renato Corona and wife, Cristina’s properties, including condominium units allegedly part of the unexplained wealth of the couple.
Sheriff Alexander Valencia of the Anti-Graft Court 2nd Division already submitted the report containing the preliminary listing of Corona’s frozen assets and bank accounts.
Valencia reported the garnishment orders on eight of Corona’s properties, including the condominium units in One Burgandy Plaza, The Columns, Belagio 1, and Bonifacio Ridge.
Also, the freeze order on the couple’s other bank accounts and financial institutions have been served, but it turned out that they only contain small amount of money.
The BPI account contains One thousand pesos while their PNB account has 6,524 pesos.
The couple is slapped with a 130 million peso-forfeiture case at the Anti-Graft court. (with DZRH Leth Narciso-Abinales)
