San Juan police chief axed for mishandling hostage crisis

The head of San Juan City Police, Sr. Supt. Joselito Daniel was removed from his post after the San Juan City Philippine National Police’s futile way in handling the hostage crisis drama that happened last Tuesday.

The Eastern Police District axed Daniel while an investigation on the said incident is being done so that they can identify if there was indeed negligence in the side of the responding policemen.

Daniel stated that he’s ready to face any investigation because he’s confident that his men did everything right in order for the suspect to surrender peacefully.

The hostage drama last for 10 hours but in the end, the suspect Charliemagne Aton shot the victim, Atty. Solomon Condenuevo in the head and shot herself after.

Meanwhile, Daniel was replaced by his Deputy for Information, Supt. Jose Rivera as Officer-in-charge of the San Juan City PNP.
