The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers has allegedly acquired a new coach for the next season of the UAAP Men’s Senior’s Basketball Tournament.

According to reports, basketball coach Aldin Ayo has decided to leave the De La Salle Green Archers in order to accept the offer of UST.

The champion coach was reported to have already said goodbye to the DLSU Community on Thursday, Dec. 27.

However, the management of the DLSU nor Ayo has yet to release an official statement regarding the champion coach’s alleged move.

Under Ayo, the Green Archers were able to win the championship of the UAAP Season 79 Men’s Basketball Tournament. He also previously coached the Letran Knights and ended the team’s 10-year title drought in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The Growling Tigers started searching for a new coach after dropping coach Boy Sablan following a 1-13 win-loss record during the Men’s Senior Basketball tournament of the UAAP Season 80.
