Red Lions clinches back-to-back championships in NCAA

The San Beda Red Lions successfully defended their crown in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament after sweeping the Best-of-Three finals series.

The Red Lions once again defeated the Lyceum Pirates with a final score of 92-82 in order to be declared champions of NCAA Season 93.

During Game-2 in Araneta Coliseum, Lyceum started strong after leading by seven points in the first quarter. However, San Beda recovered at the second half and closed the score gap to 65-66 by the end of the third quarter.

Robert Bolick then led the defending champions in assuming control of the game and grabbed the lead, 78-76, in the final three minutes of the game.

Bolick finished with 18 points while Finals Most Valuable Player Donald Tankoua gave 17 points and 17 rebounds for the victory of San Beda. Meanwhile, Season MVP Cj Perez putted in 22 points for the Pirates.

Due to this success, San Beda has seized their 21st championship in the NCAA.
