The Philippine Sports Commission withdrew its initial plan to sell the historical Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.

The PSC board decided to end negotiations with the Manila local government regarding the possible auction of Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

According to PSC Chairman William Butch Ramirez, rather than selling RMSC, they should try to upgrade the facilities inside the 10-hectares sports complex.

PSC Chair Ramirez said that the PSC will ask help from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and National Historical Commission of the Philippines for the renovation of Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
