A group expects that more students will enroll in private schools for the School Year 2021-2022.
Eleazardo Kasilag, president of the Federation of Associations of Private School Administrators (FAPSA), said on Tuesday, July 20, that parents have expressed their intent to return their children to private schools.
Kasilag said that parents experienced a ‘culture shock’ after transferring their children to public schools in the middle of the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
“May mga feedback sa parents, may mga babalik dahil gusto nilang subukan talaga ulit yung situation sa private schools after having known yung scenario na nalito sila ng husto sa schedule,” Kasilag said during DZRH’s Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.
FAPSA also expects that the ‘voucher program’ of the national government will entice parents to enroll their children to private schools.
“Yung mga pupunta sa amin galing sa, graduate ng grade six, kapag lumipat sa amin, sa voucher system, libre sila. Ang gobyerno ang magbabayad,” Kasilag explained.
