President Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to visit the regions of Biliran and Tacloban after a state of calamity was declared over both areas due to the destruction brought about by tropical depression Urduja.
In an interview with DZRH, Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol said that the President will be visiting Biliran and Tacloban to assess the amount of damage caused by the storm.
According to Piñol, he will be escorting Duterte to assess the overall damaged left by TD Urduja.
Piñol said that the other government officials accompanying the President of this trip are National Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana, Labor Sec. Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III, Health Sec. Francisco Duque, and Public Works and Highways Sec. Mark Villar.
Energy Regulatory Commissioner Agnes Devanadera may also be visiting the two highly devastated regions as the city of Biliran continues to suffer from a power blackout due to the storm, says Piñol.
