President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday lambasted Commision on Human Rights Chairman Chito Gascon anew.
During Duterte’s speech at the 65th General Assembly of the League of Cities of the Philippines, the President could not help express his anger towards the CHR Chairman while explaining the dangerous effects of illegal drugs in the Filipino community.
Gascon has been critical of the administration’s drug war following the 3,900 recorded drug-related deaths during police operations.
“Human rights bakit ka tahimik diyan? Ito si Gascon, better avoid when we cross path, sampalin talaga kita” said Duterte “Kung kami dito you don’t even bother to find out kung sino ang namatay, bakit namatay. Bakit ka naman papatayin kung wala naming kasalanan? Aggressive, may baril talaga. Sinasabi ko na sa inyo ayaw ninyo maniwala, itong maslalo na, most lethal virulent one is shabu.”
