President Rodrigo Duterte lambasted Sen. Francis Pangilinan anew.
Duterte accused Pangilinan of creating a monster with the youth after the Senator penned the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act, lowering the age of minors that can be locked up once found guilty of committing a crime.
The President made the statement during the Anti-Corruption Summit held at the Philippine International Convention Center, in Pasay City on Tuesday.
In line with this, Duterte is pushing for the creation of a new constitution.
Duterte said that forming a constitutional convention will no longer work.
The President added that we can only eradicate corruption in government if we can correct the Constitution, and strengthening the power of both the Commission on Audit and the Office of the Ombudsman.
Duterte said that his deal with Congress, Opposition and the public is that he will create a new Constitution and will immediately resign from his post once everything has been settled.
