President Rodrigo Duterte is asking the public to give proper treatment to the new heroes who are now going home after fighting in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur.
Pres. Duterte said that the soldiers leaving Marawi were prepared to sacrifice their lives in order to defend the Philippines. He explained that they should be given the chance to have fun since they went through hell due to the war in Marawi.
“You treat your soldiers well. They have sacrificed for this country.” Pres. Duterte said during the Maskara Festival in Bacolod City. “They really went to hell at yung iba did not make it.”
Meanwhile, Pres. Duterte reiterated his gratefulness for the military and police who fought against the Maute Terror group in Marawi.
