Malacanang doesn’t believe with the report of the National Statistical Coordination Board regarding the gap between the rich and the poor in the Philippines.
Based on the latest report of the NSCB, it shows that the rich are getting richer while the poor are becoming poorer.
Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda previously said that he couldn’t believe the latest study that the Filipino rich have an annual growth amounting to 10.4 percent while the poor have 4.3 percent only.
Lacierda explained that he doubts the credibility of the report because under the Aquino administration, it was their first priority to combat poverty.
The Secretary added that President Benigno Aquino III’s directive is to make sure that all Filipinos, regardless of stature in life, will benefit from the country’s dream of progress. (Kisses Jabson)
