Authorities have identified the suspect in the killing of the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) chief Dr. Roland Cortez and his companion, the Quezon City Police District said Tuesday.
In a press briefing, QC Chief Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo said they already have a lead on the driver of the motorcycle who fired successive shots towards the victims.
However, National Capital Region (NCR) Police Office chief Police Major General Debold Sinas refrained to disclose the name and photo of the suspect as authorities are still tracking him.
On July 27, Cortez and a certain Ernesto Dela Cruz were found lifeless inside a red Toyota Vios that police spotted along Cassanova Drive corner Tandang Sora Avenue.
Witness bared that two men riding a motorcycle proceeded on the right side window of the vehicle and knocked before firing successive shots towards the victims.
