The Moro Islamic Liberation Front is now on its toes to respond to the government’s demand to return the firearms those armed men took from the SAF members they killed during the Mamasapano encounter last January 25.

The government also wants the MILF to release a list of the names of their men who fought and died in the said incident.

During the inquisition of Senator Grace Poe, MILF Chief Negotiator Mohaqer Iqbal said that MILF Chairman Al Haj Murad has given the order to hasten the process of returning the firearms and equipment they took from the SAF troopers and identify those who participated in the said encounter.

However, Iqbal remained quiet on the timeline for the said order.

Senator Poe on the other hand, expressed her gratitude to Iqbal for attending today’s hearing and for refusing to ask for an executive session in answering the questions for the MILF.
