Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos of the Philippine National Police – Public Information Office, insisted that it was the decision of the National Capital Region Police Office to relieve the whole Caloocan Police force.
According to C/Supt. Carlos, replacing the whole Caloocan police force is part of the administrative program of the NCRPO and Northern Police. The decision was also made in order to ensure the safety of the city’s residents.
C/Supt. Carlos further added that questions regarding the large-scale decision should be relayed to the NCRPO since they have administrative control.
NCRPO Police Director Oscar Albayalde ordered the major reboot of the Caloocan Police due to a viral CCTV footage that shows 16 policemen ransacking a house and the controversial deaths of minors.
Meanwhile, more than 1,000 members of the Regional Public Safety Battalion immediately arrived at Caloocan City in order to replace the relieved police force.
