The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Friday, May 25 that they deployed around 8,000 police officers as part of security preparations for the nationwide opening of classes on June 4.
NCRPO chief Police Director Camilo Cascolan said that their priority is to assure the security of the public, especially the students during the opening of classes. Also, the whole team of NCRPO will be on full alert and will work hand-in-hand to establish a successful event on that day.
Classes in public elementary and high schools nationwide will start on June 4, according to the Department of Education. Meanwhile, the DepEd yesterday reminded school officials not to accept any form of support from tobacco companies during the school maintenance activities for the opening of classes.
