Police Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa reiterated that members of the police force should not be blinded by the large sum of money that drug lords from the New Bilibid Prison will try to bribe them.
As the PNP Chief assigned new members from the PNP-Special Action Force at the national penitentiary, Dela Rosa quipped that drug lords will surely try to bribe his men, and SAF commandos should stand firm on their ground.
Dela Rosa said that material things that will be given to them are just temporary compare to the benefits that they are currently receiving especially after the increase in their salaries.
The PNP chief also warned his men that whoever is caught doing corrupt practices while on duty, especially conniving with drug lords, he will personally shoot them.
Dela Rosa meanwhile defended his men against accusations that they have since been receiving bribe money from drug lords inside the NBP.
The intelligence group found no proof against these accusations.
A battalion of SAF commandos have been assigned to NBP on Tuesday and this is the fourth batch of PNP-SAF that has been assigned to take watch inside the NBP.
