Philippine National Police Chief Dir. Gen. Oscar Albayalde said that he is ready to clarify the issue regarding the so-called ‘ninja cops.’

On Friday, through a statement, Albaylde said that the internal cleansing of PNP has been relentless and will continue “until all rogue cops especially those involved in illegal drugs will be weeded out from the service and charged in court.”

The Senate’s blue ribbon and justice committees invited Albayalde to sit down on the hearing of anomalies inside the New Bilibid Prison and the alleged existence of “ninja cops.”

Earlier, Senator Bato dela Rosa said that speculations showed that the PNP chief could be one of those named by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, former head of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, involved in the illegal drug trade.

In 2014, he was dismissed as provincial director of Pampanga after several of his men were accused of being involved in drug recycling.
