PNOY encourages public to speak up on Mamasapano incident

President Benigno Aquino III is challenging anyone who has knowledge on what happened in the Mamasapano incident to surface so that the government can protect them.

Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. made the statement after outgoing Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said that they could not charge anyone regarding the death of the nine other members of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force, because there are no witnesses to the said crime.

According to Secretary Coloma, the government continues to ask anyone who has information regarding the Mamasapano incident to inform the government regarding it.

In line with this, Coloma said that the government is leaving it up to the Senate if it would have time to start with the Mamasapano report of Senator Grace Poe.

Coloma added that the Senate is an independent body therefore it has its own mandate.  (with DZRH Florante Rosales)
