At least Php6.8 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were seized on Tuesday, November 27 during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was able to confiscate the drug paraphernalia from alleged ‘live-in partners’ identified as Ernie Rodriguez and Teresa Matias who are residing near the Carlos P. Garcia High School. The buy-bust operation took place after the suspects were caught selling Php 2.5 million worth of shabu to a poseur buyer.
According to PDEA-National Capital Region (NCR) Director Josel Plaza, the suspects were using their store as a front in their illegal smuggling of shabu.
