PHL, US to continue bilateral relations

Philippines and United States (US) agreed to refocus to military ties or bilateral relations.

The two nations agreed to focus its relation in nontraditional activities, like; joint cooperation against illegal drugs and corruption as well as disaster response.

It was announced by DFA Sec. Perfecto Yasay after a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in sidelines of APEC Summit in Lima, Peru.

Yasay extended assurance to Kerry that Philippines will continue to promote the defense cooperation in America.

However, DFA secretary said it is time to reformat the military ties in US that Kerry agreed.
