Interior and Local Government Officer-in-Charge Usec. Catalino Cuy assessed the Philippines hosting of the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit as a success.
According to the Chairman of the ASEAN Committee on Security, Peace and Order, and Emergency Preparedness and Response (CSPOEPR), the ASEAN Committee recorded zero incidents during the summit that was attended by various world leaders.
Cuy insisted that the excellent results of the ASEAN Summit can be considered as a success of the whole country.
However, according to reports, more than 50 individuals were wounded during the clash between police and protesters in Taft Avenue during the 1st day of the ASEAN Summit last Nov. 13.
