PH logs 470 new COVID-19 cases, total now at 32,295

The Philippines on Wednesday logged 470 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) — 357 fresh cases and 113 late cases — bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 32,295.

Nearly half or 225 of the latest cases came from Metro Manila, 145 were recorded in Region VII or Central Visayas while the remaining 100 came from other regions nationwide.

The Department of Health (DOH) also reported 8,656 recoveries after 214 more patients recuperated from the deadly respiratory illness. Meanwhile, the death toll increased to 1,204 with 18 new fatalities.
