Who would have thought that in less than two months of preparations, the Ever Lasting Friends (ELF), fandom of South Korean legendary boy group Super Junior, will be able to pull off a Sapphire Blue Ocean for the boys’ Super Show 7 concert held at the Mall of Asia Arena last Saturday?
Yes. It did happen and thanks to the cooperation of everyone, especially the concert’s local producer PULP Live World, both the boys and the fans had a great time.
Super Junior were finally back in the Philippines after five years for a one-night concert. Their last was during Super Show 5, held a few days after Super Junior Kim Heechul completed his two-year mandatory military service.
But it wasn’t just the ELFs who gave their best. The boys came prepared. From the performances to their ‘ment, to the videos being shown on the LED screen, they tailor-made it for the Philippine audience. They even made effort in speaking tagalog, #LodiTalaga, #Grabe!
It was also the first time that the official lightsticks were synced. This only happened once, during Super Show 7 in Seoul, it truly made the sapphire blue ocean more memorable.
Everyone knew that the concert will be a success because it was blessed with rain. If you are a Super Junior fan, you know that they are considered the rain gods because they always bring in the rain.
The show started with their exhilarating performance of Black Suit from their latest album of the same title.
Leeteuk, Heechul, Shindong, Yesung, Eunhyuk, Donghae and Siwon really made sure that the night will be all worth it for their fans. They danced, sang their hearts out LIVE, and even took time to pose for pictures, and oh yes, special mention to Siwon handing out 2015 Ms Universe Pia Wurtzbach water during one of their breaks. Pia is such a lucky girl.
But the luckiest person was definitely Senator Manny Pacquiao, who the group kept on mentioning. Heechul was so hyper, even doing some punches mid ‘ment.
ELFs also did not forget to sing Happy Birthday song to Leeteuk and Heechul as both will be celebrating their birthdays this July. Fans did not forget to give the boys gifts, especially their favorite dried mangoes.
In the end, the boys promised that they will be back next year, hopefully for another Super Show concert. And I bet, that ELFs will be patiently waiting for them.
