Peace talks between Gov’t and Leftists resume this April

The peace talks between the Philippine government and the Communist Party of the Philippine will resume soon.

Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza announced that the fourth round of the peace talks will happen this coming April after the government revealed that they are having backchannel talks with the National Democratic Front Panel.

Dureza also said that both sides will declare a unilateral ceasefire before April.

The Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG) will also be enforced. Due to the said agreement, NDF consultants are allowed to join the negotiations between the two sides.
