All poultry farms in Pampanga will be inspected due to the bird flu outbreak in the town of San Luis.
Pampanga Governor Lilia ‘Baby’ Pineda said that they will examine all poultry farms in order to ensure that they are not affected by the avian flu virus.
Gov. Pineda also advised poultry owners to inform authorities if there have been similar incidents.
Gov. Pineda is also thinking on not renewing the permits of affected farms to prevent them from selling and the affecting health of the consumers.
Last August 12, Pampanga was placed under a state of calamity after bird flu affected six poultry farms in San Luis and 37,000 chickens died due to the said virus.
“Nag-declare kami ng State of Calamity kasi kailangan ma-achieve namin yung pag-inspeksyon lahat ng poultry sa province point .Kasi kailangan siguraduhin namin na sila wala silang ganoon insidente na nangyari sa San Luis.” Gov. Pineda said during an interview with DZRH. “Baka lumala, kami pa ang sisihin ng mga karatig nating probinsya.”
