Not only President Benigno Aquino III maintained the controversial pork barrel, he did hike it.
From the P24.8-billion this year, the pork barrel was hiked to P27-billion, according to Budget Secretary Florenio Abad.
“The House membership has increased to 292, from 282 or 285,” Abad said.
Abad said that the P2.2-billion adjustment would be for the budget allocations of the new members of the House of Representatives.
