Malacanang has distanced itself from the accusation thrown by the United Nationalist Alliance against their alleged lack of a concrete response against the 32 lawmakers involved in the 10 Billion peso Pork Barrel Fund scam.
According to PCOO Secretary Sonny Coloma, the Palace has no jurisdiction on studying the cases filed against the solons stemming from the PDAF scam because they already tasked the Department of Justice to do that.
Coloma added that it is the DOJ’s work to investigate thoroughly the evidence and information that will connect the 32 solons with the controversial case.
The DOJ already filed a case against some Senators and members of the House of Representatives at the Office of the Ombudsman.
Coloma advised UNA Secretary General, Congressman Toby Tiangco that it would be better if they will just use the President’s principle, which is to let the evidence speak for itself.
