Malacanang extends its greetings to the new Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere of France during Monday’s coronation night at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
According to Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, Mittenaere’s win is a proud moment for France.
Iris won not only the judges’ decision but also the love of the whole world.
In line with this, Abella also congratulated Maxine Medina for making it to the Top 6, and praised her for representing the country in the international scene very well.
Meanwhile, for the lawmakers, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Maxine Medina showed exemplary performance during Monday’s event.
According to Leyte Rep. Yedda Romualdez, who happens to be a former beauty queen, Maxine showed to the world the beauty and resilience of the Philippines.
For Quezon City Cong. Winston Castelo, Maxine remains a winner in the hearts of the Filipinos.
Surigao Del Sur Rep. Prospero Pichay said that losing is part of any competition.
Though Maxine’s answer during the question and answer portion could have been better, it is still an honor for the Filipina beauty queen to make it to Top 6.
