A Philippine Airline flight bound for Cebu was forced to make a turn around at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport shortly after take off at 2:30pm.
According to Capt. Nicomedes Garcia, there was smoke coming from the cabin and cockpit. Garcia added that the said turn around was part of their standard safety protocol.
Passengers of PAL fligh 1857 were then moved to the 5:30pm flight, coming from Australia.
The cause of the smoke is still undetermined.
