Some commercial flights of the Philippine Airlines going to and from Cebu may be delayed or cancelled from September 1-21, 2018.

According to PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna, the flight adjustment is an effect of the repair and rehabilitation of runways 04/22 of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

Prior to this, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines already issued a Notice to Airmen from August 21 to September 21 in line with the said activity.

However, CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio explained that the runway will only be closed from 1:30am-6:30am.

The affected flights are as follows:

Cancelled flights for September 1-21:

  1. PR 2682/2683 (Sept. 1-21) Cebu-Busuanga-Cebu
  2. PR 2295/2296 (Sept. 1-21) Cebu-Cagayan de Oro-Cebu
  3. PR 2867 (Aug. 31-Sept. 20) Manila-Cebu
  4. PR1836 (Sept. 1-21) Cebu-Manila

Re-scheduled flights:

  1. PR 2380 Cebu-Iloilo
  2. PR 2381 Iloilo-Cebu
  3. PR 2285 Cebu-Bacolod
  4. PR 2286 Bacolod-Cebu
  5. PR 2236 Cebu-Tacloban
  6. PR 2237 Tacloban-Cebu

Last week, Cebu Pacific Airlines already issued its own list of cancelled and or delayed flights in connection with the temporary closure of runway 04/22.
